Decoral System® owns laboratories fully equipped with sophisticated research and development tools for testing all the raw materials, according to internationally recognized norms, guaranteeing the highest quality of its products.
ARTIFICIAL AND NATURAL EXPOSURE TEST
ARTIFICIAL EXPOSURE TEST
Coated samples are exposed to Xenon light in a machine for a predetermined time with a suitable temperature and controlled humidity, thus simulating atmospheric agents behaviour.
The test simulate situations in an accelerated way so that we can check the resistance to light and atmospheric agents, especially for products such as powder coating and finishes.
NATURAL EXPOSURE TEST
For the maximum accuracy in terms of quality, we also run natural tests to study the behaviour of our products in real weather situations.
In accordance with specific procedures, our samples are exposed for multi-annual periods in various places such as Arcole (Verona - Italy) and the exposure site of Atlas Laboratory in Florida (USA).
MECHANICAL AND PHISICAL TEST

Mechanical tests are run in a special room with controlled temperature and humidity to check durability, flexibility and adhesion of our coated products, according to current international specifications. |

INK PENETRATION EVALUATED BY MICROSCOPE

The penetration of sublimation inks is a fundamental parameter for the quality of the output.
CHEMICAL TEST
MACHU TEST
Coated samples are immersed in a liquid solution (containing sodium chloride, acetic acid and hydrogen peroxide for a predetermined time).
This test checks correct preatreatment.
CONSTANT CLIMATE CONDENSATION WATER TEST
Test aimed at measuring the resistance of surfaces to high level of humidity.

ACETIC ACID-SALT SPRAY RESISTANCE
Samples are subjected to corrosion and humidity resistance tests.
By using special instruments, this test simulates marine environmental conditions which cause corrosion, using a saline-acetic fog spray.
PRESSURE COOKER TEST
The samples are immersed in demineralized water in a pressure cooker in order to check adhesion of coating to the metal.
The samples are therefore exposed to two particular factors: pressure and temperature.
